I have published a monograph entitled Gothic Motifs in the Fiction of William Gibson (2004) and edited the two following collections under the titles H Amerikaniki Poiisi stin Ellada / American Poetry in Greece (2006) and Anglo-American Perceptions of Hellenism (2007). I have contributed entries on William Gibson and Margaret Atwood to the online Literary Encyclopedia and essays on Allen Ginsberg, Amiri Baraka, Wanda Coleman and the New York Poets to journals and edited volumes. I have also contributed entries on Sylvia Plath, Ezra Pound and Robert Frost to an edited volume of literature covering topics since 1914. I have also co-edited as guest editor three special issues of the European Journal of American Culture dedicated to the theme of the American culture-industry of image-making.
My research interests focus on contemporary American fiction and poetry, the technological uncanny and hyper/cybertexts. I'm also co-ordinating a Creative Writing Workshop for the School of English at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and I've been on the board of the Hellenic Association for American Studies since 2003 (www.enl.auth.gr/helaas). Also, I enjoy translating contemporary American poets.
